If a formal classroom setting is not for you, TTC McMinnville may have the answer to provide that needed upgrade to your PC skills. Online software instruction, beginning with Microsoft Word, is being scheduled to launch soon. Students will learn to complete the following tasks:

  • Format text using the Mini toolbar
  • Create a document using a template
  • View and navigate a document
  • Cut and paste text
  • Copy and paste text
  • Use the Office Clipboard
  • Find and replace text
  • Check spelling and grammar
  • Research information
  • Add hyperlinks
  • Work with document properties
  • Format with fonts
  • Copy formats using the Format Painter
  • Change line and paragraph spacing
  • Align paragraphs
  • Work with tabs
  • Work with indents
  • Add bullets and numbering
  • Add borders and shading
  • Insert clip art
  • Set document margins
  • Create sections and columns
  • Insert page breaks
  • Insert page numbers
  • Add headers and footers
  • Insert a table
  • Add footnotes and endnotes

  • Manage sources and create a bibliography

The initial investment of $352 will allow students to save $200 when they use the software purchased for Word in online classes planned for the other Microsoft Office Suite of tools.  Enrollment will be limited to 10-19 students.  Everyone interested should call Diana Fults at (931) 473-5587 for more information.
