Wilder-Naifeh Technical Skills Grant
Any Tennessee citizen aged 18 or older who wants to attend the Tennessee Technology Center at McMinnville is eligible for up to $2000 from the Wilder-Naifeh Technical Skills Grant funded by the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship (TELS) program.
The Wilder-Naifeh grants DO NOT require a high school diploma, a minimum grade point average, or taking the ACT or SAT college entrance exams. Students must meet program admission requirements as either full-time or part-time students. Students must have been Tennessee residents for one year immediately preceding enrollment at a TTC.
All individuals interested in applying for a Wilder-Naifeh Skills Technical Grant must submit and have processed a 2011 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Only online applications are available and may take up to 7 days to receive a response.
To continue to receive the Wilder-Naifeh grant, students must maintain satisfactory academic progress, including maintaining a grade average of C or better, and meet normal attendance requirements. Individuals who accept HOPE scholarships are NOT eligible for the Wilder-Naifeh grant.
The Tennessee Technology Center at McMinnville offers diploma and certificate programs in nine areas including Practical Nursing, Computer Operations Technology, and Industrial Maintenance.
